Well, this Eid was fun. My last one wasn’t really that great, but this one was very enjoyable. Lots of family, relatives, noise, food, laughs – and more food! I think the best part of Eid is getting dressed up. I love it, but that’s the superficial bit. Really, what’s great about Eid get-togethers are the topics of discussion that arise. They are of the broadest range. They can be hilarious jokes, events, religious, horror stories, and memories of loved ones past. Also, what’s great is how when together family and relatives all seem to forget their little quirks with one another. The atmosphere and gatherings of Eid are unlike any other. It brings people together, awakes the feelings of forgiveness, charity, love, and simple joy at the meeting of family, friend, or foe. So, Eid Mubarak everyone! Hope yours was a good one.
