"O wave! Plunge headlong into the dark seas,
And change thyself with many a twist and turn;
Thou wast not born for tile solace of the shore;
Arise, untamed, and find a path for thyself."
- Allama Muhammad Iqbal

A great saying…..unfortunately most do not often recognize the error of their ways….
Many cannot see inward or choose to do so infrequently….myself included.
The path to discovery has to be embraced with an open mind and an honest heart.
Why is it so difficult?
Peace be upon you,
I suppose it can lead to discoveries- but only if we learn from out errors otherwise it is a downward spiral.
And to go even better- a wise person learns from his errors, but the wiser person learns from the errors of others (I don’t know who said that unfortunately).
Thank you for sharing and kind regards,
Don’t
Alan - Perhaps it is difficult because we are so resentful of the mirror that reflects our errors. We cannot recognize them because we do not want to see them, and if refuse to see them then we cannot learn. In that case, they are not portals of discovery but a dark hole.
Don’t Be Sad - I agree, a person learns not only from his own errors but from the errors of others as well, this way they never become our own errors.
