Reminds me of a William Blake poem:
To see the world in a grain of sand,
Heaven in a wild flower,
To hold eternity in the palm of your hand,
Infinity in an hour of time…
People are never perfect. They need someone else to make them complete.
This is very true. The picture and the poem work well together.
great poem and so true!!
Peace be upon you raat-ki-ranii,
Your poem captures many truths. There is not light without darkness. In fact, how could we ever know when is day without the night? And what about wrong from right? Yes, hardship and ease both exist in the world. Happiness cannot be know without experiencing sadness.
Thank you for sharing.
Kind regards,
Dont be sad
PS: I didn’t quite understand the photograph and how it goes with the poem. Perhaps you might explain…
yaake - Thank you for dropping by. I’m glad you left a comment. As to people not being perfect, yes i agree. We are a work in progress. However, i don’t think we need just “someone” to make us complete. We humans are not ourselves half that we need to find a whole in someone else. No, i think everyone we encounter betters us or leaves a mark on us somehow but we must be the ones to reach our completion ourselves. Others may help us in the process but ultimately it is we who must take the journey of finding and making ourselves whole.
Cendrine Marrouat - Thank you, and I’m glad you liked the combination of the poem and photograph.
femmy - Thank you, and yes, I thought so too.
Dont be sad - I agree with you and was myself thinking along the same line while writing this piece. There is so much in us and around us that depends upon another factor to exist and be understood. The brilliance of light cannot be appreciated without the knowledge of darkness.
As to the photograph, It conveyed to me the feeling that the subject of the photograph was in the moment of experiencing peace. Hope that helps!
As salam ‘aleykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. MashaAllah, beautiful.
Motamid - Wa Alaikum Salaam, and thank you. I’m glad you stopped by.
