Sometimes I write down passages from the books I read for the sheer beauty in which the words are written. Sometimes they are a mere three words and sometimes whole pages.
Sometimes it is the simplicity of the words that carry the complexity of a lifetime. And sometimes it is the complexity of the meaning so simply understood in the moment.
Sometimes it is not the words that is of value or their relevance to the story, life, wisdom, or beauty, but rather the moment in which they were read, unveiled to the eyes, grasped by the mind, and felt – wholly, abandonedly.
Sometimes I write down passages from the books I read.

"O wave! Plunge headlong into the dark seas,
And change thyself with many a twist and turn;
Thou wast not born for tile solace of the shore;
Arise, untamed, and find a path for thyself."
- Allama Muhammad Iqbal
I do the same!
