Dear, dear Sister
My Sister Lake
where are you going?
Running away.
running, running …
Running away!
Breaking the cycle
that circular motion
Stopping it once and for all
for I won’t do it anymore!
Not anymore.
no more, no more I say!
Oh ruckus,
wild, wild chaos
what have you done, Sister!
Why do you protest so?
Oh, I said, No more!
and I mean it this time.
I shall not rise to the heavens
over and over
And over again
only to be cast down
again and again!
No more, I say!

"O wave! Plunge headlong into the dark seas,
And change thyself with many a twist and turn;
Thou wast not born for tile solace of the shore;
Arise, untamed, and find a path for thyself."
- Allama Muhammad Iqbal
Very nice poem—it fits nicely with the image. After reading your poem I see the picture in a whole new light.
Beautiful!
Baekho - It’s good to hear from you again! And thank you, I’m glad your sight was able to see new meaning.
Zios - Thank you, for you kind comment.
